Dating is a roller coaster of emotions, actions, and feelings. And while our grandparents love yapping on about how our generation is doomed and how back in their day, everything was better and blah blah blah - we're here to tell you all of that is pretty much a bunch of bull$hit. Sure, maybe people didn't have the technology back them to sext and send n$des, but we're almost certain that they had other means of expressing their intimacy, sexuality, and love.
